Children's Ministry

Luke 18:16 - But Jesus called the children to him and said, "Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these."

Our emphasis in Children's Ministry is to share God and His Love with all our children, thus laying the groundwork for them to accept Jesus as their personal Lord and Savior. We do this through a variety of services and programs.

Children's Church meets every Sunday morning at 10:00 am for children age 4 through 5th grade, with the exception of first Sundays at which time the children are invited to a short children's sermon with Pastor Rich in the sanctuary.

Wednesday Evenings at 7:00pm

Testimonies

Early one morning in April, a few kids from the Children's Department traveled to Durham, NC to participate in a kids missions day at Ridgecrest Baptist Church. There, they were joined by eight other churches to assist in helping the church clean and beautify their grounds. They also took part in preparing bags to distribute to the homeless and for times of disaster relief.

Everyone has a role in God's Kingdom - you're never too young to learn how to serve others.

  • Jeffrey, 9

"Not many things can get me out of bed at 4:30am, but my first missions trip was totally worth it. This trip made me want to go on many more! I learned that helping others and spreading God's love makes me feel needed, happy, and closer to Him. I also learned that missions doesn't have to be in other countries, it can be as close to home as helping a next-door neighbor."

  • Haven, 11

"When we got there, they welcomed us into the sanctuary where we sang songs and danced. After that, we got our jobs. We planted A LOT of plants. After lunch, we cleaned and disinfected the toys in their nursery. Before we left, we decorated bags for the homeless. We watched VeggieTales all the way home!"

  • Caitlyn, 10

"My first mission trip was awesome! We had to leave at 5:30 in the morning and had three hours of laughs, VeggieTales, and fun. When we got there, we got our assignment to plant flowers around the church. We also cleaned the nursery and decorated bags for the homeless."

Children's Choir

Children's Choir gives children the ability to worship God through music, message, and movement and participate in the worship service.  Children are able to learn, grow, and serve in God's kingdom to aid in spiritual growth in their lives.  Songs learned in childhood can stay with us forever.  This plants the love of God in our children at an early age which takes root and grows in the soul.
